Congratulations to Elevate Acro Gymnastics Club - Scottish ClubSport Club of the Year 2025
Elevate Acro Gymnastics Club was founded in January 2025 after a local club’s closure left 750 gymnasts without a home. Elevate launched with four volunteer coaches and charity trustees, opening its doors just eight weeks later. In six months, the club has delivered over 12,000 session places to children across West Lothian, including those with additional needs. Highlights include a 300-person launch event, a summer programme with 350 places, school outreach in four schools, and national competition success.
The club has raised nearly £20,000 through gymnast-led fundraising and secured over £13,000 in grants for equipment and a sprung floor. Strong governance, a growing team of 10 freelance coaches, and a Young Leader Academy with 14 participants reflect Elevate’s commitment to sustainability and inclusion.
Nicole Higginson, Head Coach received a special ClubSport award for her dedication to the sport, and the club continues to thrive through community, resilience, and innovation.
